IBC PRAY THROUGH

GO DEEPER

HOLE 2 - GO DEEPER

The Message Bible puts it this way: “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.” Pray that God would give you a heart that is ready to become less so that Jesus can become greater in your life.

HOLE 3 - GO DEEPER

The Message Bible puts it this way: You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.” Are you hurting or mourning in any way? Pray for the comfort of the Holy Spirit. He is our comforter and He is close to the broken-hearted.

HOLE 4 - GO DEEPER

In the Bible, "meek" can be interpreted as "gentleness," or a refusal to take control by brute force or manipulation. It can also be interpreted as humility. In our modern culture meekness is often associated with weakness, feeble character, or a spirit of constant compromise to the leaders of the earth. But Jesus tells us that those who are meek, will actually be the ones who inherit the earth. Pray for a spirit of humility and meekness in your life.

HOLE 5 - GO DEEPER

Righteousness comes through a relationship  with God in Christ Jesus. In this holy relationship we are blessed when we urgently pursue Him. In our culture, we often hunger and thirst for anything besides God. What is it for you? Is it money, social recognition, lust, or something like these? Only one thing is needed. Pray for a hunger to know God and his righteousness.

HOLE 6 - GO DEEPER

In the Bible, mercy is defined as the compassionate treatment of those in need, especially when it's possible to punish or harm them. God could have chosen not to send his Son into the world to save us, but because of his love and tender mercy he gave up His son to die on the cross and pay the punishment for our sins. His mercy is free to those who put their faith in Jesus. How great is the mercy of the Father.

HOLE 7 - GO DEEPER

The Message Bible puts it this way: You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.” How can you prepare your heart for God today? In the bible we can look to the example of David, who asks God to "create in me a pure heart" after committing adultery and murder. We are never too far from the reach of God if we confess our sins and trust in Him.

HOLE 8- GO DEEPER

The message bible puts it this way “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.”

Peacemakers are people who will be recognized as sons of God who share Jesus's name and mission. Here are some characteristics of a peacemaker: Peacemakers take action to solve problems and establish justice and righteousness. They don't avoid conflict or delay the inevitable. How can you be a peacemaker today?

HOLE 9 - GO DEEPER

Persecution is a result of following Christ.
Jesus' disciples will be persecuted for their association with him, just as the prophets were persecuted for speaking the truth. However, Persecution is not a reason to despair instead of feeling discouraged, believers should rejoice and be glad because their reward in heaven will be great. Persecution is a result of living a righteous life. Believers are righteous in God's eyes, and their confession of faith and moral lives will offend the world. Jesus faced persecution and was hated by the world, and so will all those who belong to Christ. Persecution is a result of being a follower of Christ, but it's not the end. The reward for faithfulness is greater than any price that might be paid.
